    The real problem newbies face….

So, you are starting out  fresh and new to the wild and wackey internet marketing game. You want to play, but none of the big kids want you to because you aren't ready. You have to learn from them before you can play. Let me ask you a question. What do you think is the largest, most burdensome problem that the typical newbie faces? Well, if you listen to the guru's you will spend yourself broke and still not be able to play. They will always have one more secret you need to learn. One more amazing piece of push button software you have to buy before you will finally be ready to play.

But is that really it? The newbie just doesn't know enough yet, and they don't have all the software and other shortcuts they need. Is that what you think it is? If so, then i have a really big and important announcement for you. In most cases, those are not what is holding the newbie or any struggling marketer back. pardon me a second while I blow the trumpet.

trumpet The real problem newbies face....

O.K. It's nice to see you are all paying attention. The problem is, you don't have a large enough list of trageted prospects. I know all the gurus talk about the money being in the list. I don't disagree with them on that. What I do have a problem with is they don't (won't) give you a good solution other that to tell you to build one and sell you some resources to help you do that.. The fact is, building a list takes time and in most cases money. So what if  you have a good offer to promote right now? Oh I know, go out and start buying Google Adwords or Facebook ads, right? After all, you can't participate in an ad swap or get a JV partner to mail for you because you don't have a decent list yourself.

So that's the answer, right? NOPE, it's time to blow the trumpet again. Few will tell you about this because there isn't an affiliate program for this solution. That lack of incentive often causes people to keep things to themselves. But a  cantankerous old goat like me will tell you anyway.

You do need a list of targeted prospects to mail to and there is a pay per click solution. It's a foregone conclusion that acquiring leads is going to cost you. One way or another, it will cost you and it's part of the cost of doing Business. So first let me tell you how it works and why it's better than buying ads. The company I'm about to disclose to you already has the leads you need. They have the list(s) that you can mail to, with built in protections for you. Unlike others, they do not charge according to number of recipients or even number of messages opened.

They only charge per "action". That usually means clicking a link to your offer or filling out a form. And in my opinion the very best part is, they give you the details of the person who performed the action. Name, email address, title, position and phone number. Try getting all that from Google or Facebook. So the prospects you pay for not only performed the desired action for you, but you have enough info to do a proper follow up.

I would take a list of 100 of this type of leads over a list 2000  "freebie seekers" any day. A word of warning first, use your own due  diligence before investing any money in this. Make a wise and informed decision, as this may or may not be right for your situation. Never spend the grocery or any money you can't afford to lose or this or any Business venture. Now for the big moment, the name of the company is LEADpac

If you do try them out, don't forget to test, test, TEST

Facebook' s recent shift from FBML to iframes…

Facebook's recent shift from FBML to iframes  seems to be stirring up quite a fuss. I have seen posts indicating Facebook did it to stop us from encouraging 'likes" with fan only content. I doubt that's why they did it, and it is still possible to do fan only content. There are several options outlined on my page make a Facebook fan page.

I just got this one from Reed Floren and know it's one I have seen used more than a few times.

    The "Admit It" Strategy

The "I'll tell you what most (type of experts/your competition)

don't want to admit…" strategy tells your prospects that your

competition is hiding something from them. Whatever you find

and decide to expose should persuade them to purchase your

    product.

Google farmer update….they just pulled up a bunch of weeds.

    So the

    Google Farmer

has been real busy pulling up weeds lately. As marketers, it pays to know what they consider weeds, and it appears duplicate content is high on the hit list. Robot sites and some big time article sites, for instance ezinearticles.com took some major SERP hits. If you are curious, here is a list of the 25 hardest hit sites.

Get ready, soon your inbox will be filled with "article marketing is dead" hysteria. I'm sure more than one product is already on the drawing boards to help you solve this new "problem". The same people who told you "content is king" will ride to you rescue again and save you from those mean old Google people. Let's get a couple things straight. High quality unique content is king. Not just any old content you can scrape from somewhere. Secondly, article marketing is not dead. Write good articles and post them on your high quality unique site. Do not allow others to republish them. You want your site to be the one and only place people can get your great content. The old way of thinking was you wanted the back links from syndication. There are plenty of other ways to get those back links. The penalties attached to duplicate content are now too stiff to even consider allowing your work to wind up in an article spinner. By the way, those spinners are not very effective at fooling the search engines anymore. There was a day we you could get by with that, but not so much anymore.

So there you have it, a simple no cost solution to the farmer update. You know what, if we just stop trying to trick Google and instead give them what they want, life could be so much easier. Get a good ghost writer or better yet write your own content . Use http://www.copyscape.com/ to make sure nobody is swiping your work. Google will love you for it, and people will link to you because it's a good site. Or, you can keep on trying all the tricks and shortcuts and you will continue to get your tail kicked over and over again. Google does not have to be you enemy. In fact, they give us just about everything we need to please them for free. Here are a couple links for example:

I do too like my refrigerator, and capitalism.

I just received an interesting jab, that really wasn't that hard to anticipate. I'm anti-capitalist? If you know me, you know I never miss a chance to whip out an analogy, and today is no different.

There once was a woman who started noticing an unpleasant odor in her kitchen. After a few days, it started getting bad enough she began to look for the source of the foul stench. Soon, she narrowed it down to the refrigerator. Every time she opened it, the smell was more noticeable. Now at least she knows where to investigate further. Another few days passed and she still hadn't bothered to take the time and trouble to find out what has went bad inside her refrigerator. But as more time passed, it was getting harder and harder to ignore the now gross smell.

Then it happened, an unexpected guest arrived for a visit and let's just say the problem was now much worse than it should have been, The woman got embarrassed by the bad situation and as soon as she was able to get the guest to leave (that wasn't hard) she started frantically searching for whatever it was that stinks to high heaven. All the while she is thinking to herself, how could I be so lazy? Why did I let it get so bad that it caused me embarrassment? At that moment she found it! An old piece of cheese that had somehow got shoved to the back and forgotten about. It was hidden by all the other stuff, and took a little extra effort to find. She grabbed that rotten smelly cheese and threw it out!

Does that mean the woman hates her refrigerator? I do not think any reasonable person would jump to the conclusion that she hates her refrigerator . Nor should we jump to the conclusion that if someone disagrees with the policies of our president they are a racist. It still puzzles me how some can make such huge leaps with such ease. And please don't jump to the conclusion that because I smell some foul odors in the free market system, that I hate the system. I don't, if fact quite the contrary. I do have contempt for Marxists, socialists, communists, progressives and anything or anyone that seeks to destroy the traditional American way of life. The entrepreneurial spirit in God's servants is what made the United States the most prosperous nation in the history of the earth. We began losing our way when we started removing God from everything, in particular education and business. When we started turning our backs on moral principals given to us by God himself, our prosperity as a nation started to decline. I don't wish to replace the system, I wish for a restoration. Repentance and a return to tried and true ethical standards. We know what works, we just need to get back on track. Yes, there is some stinky cheese that needs to be cleaned out of internet marketing . A little elbow grease putting pressure in the right places will go a long way.

    Let's get busy!

Did they “prove” those earnings, really?

I have no idea how many people (scumbags) do stuff like this, but I'm pretty sure some do. I am not calling the guy who made this video a scumbag. He makes it clear he does not condone this, but wants us to know how easily it can be done. And by the way, clickbank was just an example. It can be done in Paypal or nearly any place you can think of. While we are on the subject of spoofing, testimonials can be every bit as disingenuous. They can easily be purchased or bartered for. Have you ever wondered how a brand new product that was just released has a bunch of glowing testimonials already the very day it was released? Beta testers? Hummmmmm. I doubt that. I also wonder if those same eye-popping numbers I see in those screen shots/videos are reported on the tax returns? If you are making those claims, it would be wise to be reporting all that money you are making to the feds. You never know when they might decide to start checking into such things, you know.
